As part of our research into Music Promo Videos, we decided that it may be useful to contact actual recording studio's and record labels to see if we could gain any feedback from them about music promo videos, and if possible if they could send us examples of music promo videos. Two emails which we sent are below. We contacted both large record labels and independant record labels, so we could see if there was a difference in video when they target differen labels. After 3 weeks we recieved no response from any of the record labels we contacted. This may not have given us an insight into different styles of music promo videos, and how they are effective etc, but it did give us an insight into how the music industry works. It shows that they are very efficient, and do not want to waste time on products, text's and people who arn't going to make them money. This is obvious as they a money making organisation, from this we know that to make our product realistic, we will have to make sure that the packaging is spot on, the sound is spot on, and most of all our image is spot on, for the band we are using for this text.
